Key Information:

Cleveland, Mississippi will host our 5th global Music Tourism Convention. It’s the home of the GRAMMY Museum Mississippi, and is within a 35 mile radius of over 40 Mississippi Blues Trail sites including Dockery Farms the home of Charley Patton the ‘Father of the Blues’.

We will also be exploring the wider Mississippi Delta, such as Clarksdale where the ‘Crossroads’ at which Robert Johnson is said to have sold his soul to the devil is located, and host of the Delta Blues Museum, as well as Indianola where the BB King Museum is located.

Music Tourism Convention 2020 will have 300+ delegates and 40+ speakers from all over the world, two days of talks and evening receptions, as well as extra sightseeing opportunities. The talks will be a mix of panel discussions, presentations and roundtable sessions around the use of music as a tool for tourism, including branding a location, developing local and international partnerships, driving economic development, increasing footfall, creating the best conditions for music tourism to thrive, as well as best case examples from cities and countries around the world.
